One Note Now grows through six states, and at each one the project releases something alongside the composition. At the three inward states — while the work is still small and mostly unseen — a written reflection appears in the journal. At the three public states, a limited printed edition of the work as it stands. The first is a reading; the second, an object. Together they let the work be followed while it fills, and kept once it is sealed.

Each release is bound to the work reaching that number — not to a date. The composition sets its own pace, and the calendar follows it.
Each inward reflection is short — one reflection, the length of a breath. It does not describe the work from outside; it listens to the composition as it stands at that threshold, and lets the brief textual traces left by participants speak within it. Three reflections, one for each inward state: the first on solitude held in common, the second on the dissonance that emerges, the third on the breath. The first will appear when the first state closes.
At each public state the work is rendered as it stands: every contribution becomes a point of coloured light, placed along a spiral that grows the way the work grows — the earliest gestures at the centre, the most recent at the edge. The colour of each point is the same colour its sound carries in the composition. The three editions, set side by side, show the work filling; the last of them is the sealed work, definitive.
Each edition is a limited, numbered print, and the size of each run follows the same sequence as the work: 55 copies, then 89, then 144 — the last echoing the final 144 contributions that close the composition. A contributor can find their own gesture within the print from the trace they were given at the moment of release — and hear it re‑created from the same numbers that drew it, unchanged on any device, in any year.
When the final contribution is placed, the work is complete and accepts no more. Its completion will be marked by a listening — a single presentation of the sealed composition, where a trace can be brought and heard within the whole. For now this will take place online; in time, and if the work calls for it, in a shared physical space.
